Fourth Six Weeks

Progress Log #1

I have been actively working on my product's website and beginning to build my business. My business will be named Aurora Beauty Marketing. I chose the name Aurora because she is the Roman goddess of the dawn, and my website's mission is to "celebrate the dawn of the cruelty free era." I have been receiving advice from my mentor, Madison Franco, on how to structure the website and what she is looking for in such a website platform. I am currently building the website on Wix, but will have to code some of the programs I want to implement. I have acquired a domain, as well as social media names that match my domain name.

Through Ethical Elephant, I have been researching further into the cruelty free certifications/verifications, as well as animal testing regulations in China. I have reached out to various cruelty free blogs and influencers hoping to receive their input from their perspective on my website.

Progress Log #2

I have been working diligently on my product in hopes to make it a successful business. My mentor, Madison, and I are looking into all of the different ways we can expand and deciding what I should tackle during the GT course, since there are so many different options I can choose. I have interviewed Justin Mendez a second time and we discussed the options I have by creating a cruelty free PR management platform. Through my mentor meetings with Jordynn, I learned that she would also like a database platform that organizes influencer's information (ie. contact information, follower count, product preferences, date of their last PR package, etc.) I have also been meeting with the old GT proctor, Mrs. Sheila Carrell, and receiving advice from her. She referred me to Johnathan Fisher who might be able to help me on the business side of running a website platform.
